Car Audio Visual Business SEO Case Study
This client had already tried SEO. It didn’t work.
They came to me frustrated, with a good business that nobody could find on Google.
Within 12 months, that changed. 233% more clicks. 179 keywords on page one.
Positions 1-3 for the searches that actually bring in paying customers, Apple CarPlay installation, Android Auto installation, and reverse camera installation in Melbourne.
The Problem
They paid another agency for months and had little to show for it. Rankings were flat, the phone wasn’t ringing more than before, and they had no clear explanation for why.
When they came to me, the first thing I did was understand the business properly, what jobs they actually wanted, which suburbs they were targeting, and what their best customers were searching for before they booked.
The previous SEO work had been generic. Right keywords, wrong intent. Plenty of traffic potential left untouched.
What We Actually Did
The car audio installation space in Melbourne is competitive but winnable if you are specific.
Generic terms like “car audio Melbourne” are dominated by big retailers. But installation terms like CarPlay, Android Auto, and reverse cameras are searched by people who have already decided they want the service and are looking for someone to do it.
We rebuilt the site architecture around those terms. Each service got its own properly optimised page. Content was written for someone who understood cars, not someone padding word counts.
Technical issues from the previous build were cleaned up. Local SEO was tightened across the suburbs where the client actually worked.
Link building was targeted automotive directories, local business citations, relevant industry mentions. Nothing spammy. The client had mentions on supplier websites, and we got links from those.
