Background

In April 2022, an Australian e-commerce store owner approached me with concerns about the low sales on his Shopify website.

The client had previously worked with two other agencies, but sales had not improved.

Challenges

The client’s website had a low conversion rate, and he was struggling to generate traffic and sales. He wanted to improve his SEO and increase sales on his website.

Solution

To address the client’s concerns, I conducted a thorough SEO audit of the website to identify areas for improvement.

Based on the audit, I developed a comprehensive SEO strategy to increase the client’s online visibility and drive more traffic to the website.

The strategy included:

  • Conducting keyword research and optimisation to improve the website’s ranking on search engines.
  • Creating high-quality content to attract visitors and encourage engagement.
  • Optimising the website’s structure and user experience to improve the conversion rate.

Results

One month after implementing the SEO strategy, the client’s website saw a significant increase in sales and conversion rate.

In May 2022, sales increased by 80%, and the conversion rate increased by 51% – the best month for the client to date.

The success continued in July 2022, with sales increasing by 36% compared to May 2022, and a year-on-year increase in sales of 168% for the month of July.

Since then, the client has seen steady growth in sales and traffic, and his website’s online visibility has significantly improved.

The client is very satisfied with the results and continues to work with me to improve his website’s performance further.

Keyword Rankings

As of 16th Feb 2023, the website ranks for 497 keywords on page one of Google. Below is a screenshot taken from ahrefs.

Conclusion

By implementing a comprehensive SEO strategy, I was able to help the client improve his website’s online visibility, increase traffic, and ultimately boost sales in just one month. This shows that SEO results can also be achieved within a few weeks.
